Introducing My New Life at Gebeng, Kuantan

The Environment
I arrived here last week on 28th Nov 2006. Memang pengalaman merantau la lagiii haish.. but this time lagi lame la kut.. probably for at least 9 years (kalo ikut contract skoler Pet).
I rent a terrace house sharing with 2 others at Balok area. Balok is about 15 km north of Kuantan, a vibrant beach playground for windsurfing, sailing, swimming and sunbathing. Memang dekat ngan pantai. If u are driving along the main road in front of my house, the beach scenery is peaceful. Thanks to Arien sbb tolong dapatkan nice place to stay dlm mase yg agak terhad + cpat.
Both of my housemates are engineers, also fresh graduates like me though they studied in US + UK hoho aku je Malaysia. All of us are working with different companies.
For weekend activity, I'm still exploring + planning on what to do. tapi tgh sengkek plak tuu, takleh la jalan2 sgt lagi. Last week, on Saturday, I went to Kuantan town, visit my cousin at the hospital (her first baby boy), seafood dinner at Tanjung Lumpur. On Sunday, lepaking kat umah with Ayuni-utp+colleague and Hani-housemate. Ayuni stayed over my house for the weekend.
Oh, I do feel that the food is quite expensive for this kind of area haha i thought it would be cheaper here.

The Source of Income $$$
First day of work - 1st Dec 2006.
BASF PETRONAS Chemicals is a Malaysian company consisting of a 60:40 joint-venture between BASF Aktiengesellschaft and state-owned Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS). BASF PETRONAS Chemicals’ integrated chemical complex is situated at the Gebeng Industrial Zone, Kuantan, Pahang Darul Makmur.
The company is principally involved in the production, sales and marketing of basic chemicals, i.e. acrylic monomers, oxo products and butanediol products for final application in a wide range of consumer products. The raw materials used are largely supplied by PETRONAS out of their gas fields in the South China Sea.
I'm in the Corporate Functions Division - IT Department.
Senang ckp job scope aku kat sini huhuhu pandai2 la blaja balik mane yg lupe + gi training mane yg xtau (dgn harapan dpt g training jalan2 haha). Develop systems for the chemical complex and administer the Oracle database. By the way, the pay is quite good, bole la labuuu

The Romance
Hahahahahahaha sure korang curious gile bile tengok title nih. Takde ape. Within 3 years from now, the condition is either I'll be fooled+lonely or get married. As for the time being, tdak mencari + tdak mahu dicari ecece. suda2 la tu. gagagaga.
The potential candidate is far and both of us have agreed not to officially commit but que sera sera. Tipu la kalo ckp xde effort langsung. Time will eventually tell.
